Facing a Dispute that Needs Resolving?

You may be wondering:

  • How can this situation be resolved?

  • Is there a practical way forward between us?

  • What would a workable outcome look like?

Mediation provides a structured way to answer those questions.

Mediation offers a practical, confidential and efficient way to resolve disagreements - whether they arise in business, the workplace, between neighbours, within families, or in other interpersonal situations.

What To Expect

  1. Initial Enquiry

One participant contacts Wes Mediation to briefly discuss the situation and explore whether mediation may be appropriate.

  2. Convening

If mediation appears suitable, the other participant is invited to take part. Mediation only proceeds if both participants agree voluntarily.

  3. Preparation Sessions

Each participants meets with the mediator separately to explain their perspective, clarify the issues involved, and prepare for a productive joint discussion.

  4. Joint Mediation Session

Participants meet together and work through the Viable Agreement Framework (VAF) - moving from issue clarification, to developing options, and testing whether potential solutions are genuinely workable in practice.

  5. Outcome Recording

Where agreement is reached, the outcome is recorded clearly so everyone leaves with a shared understanding of what has been decided. If a full agreement is not possible, participants can still leave with a Memorandum of Understanding or written summary of progress, capturing areas of understanding or possible next steps.

  6. Follow Up

A short follow-up conversation can be arranged to review progress or address any remaining questions.
