Who Is Wes?

A portrait of a bald man with a beard, wearing a blue and white striped dress shirt, looking at the camera with a slight smile, against a light gray background.

I have seen first-hand how unresolved disputes affect decision-making, working relationships, reputation, and momentum. I have also seen how clarity and structure can turn tension into practical resolution. That experience shapes the way I meditate.

I do not offer therapy. I do not take sides. I do not push reconciliation.

My work is focused on one thing: helping people reach agreements that are realistic, workable and durable.

An agreement is only successful if it works after the mediation ends.

My style is calm, direct, and structured. My approach prioritises clarity and practical progress, keeping discussions focused on the matters that need to be resolving. I guide the process carefully so participants can think clearly, speak clearly, and move forward with intention.

Conflict does not need to escalate to be serious. Many disputes simply require the right structure to resolve them properly.

That is what Wes Mediation provides.

I am the founder of Wes Mediation and the developer of the Viable Agreements Framework (VAF).

I trained with Align Mediation in Oxford, achieving accreditation as a mediator with a high-pass grade. As part of my professional development, I also shadowed experienced mediators to gain practical case experience and deepen my understanding of the mediation process. My mediation practice is fully insured.

Before becoming a mediator, I spent 15 years building and running a catering business, expanding it three times before eventually selling it. Running a business for that length of time teaches you something important: conflict is inevitable but unmanaged conflict is costly.
